Cortez Fishing Village
The Village of Cortez is one of the last small working coastal fishing villages in Florida; located right off Anna Maria Island across the Cortez Bridge. This village retains that Old Florida spirit throughout the streets with crab traps stacked and ready for the next fishing expedition. Cortez still has the same charm with a few modern amenities; beach bungalows, and cottages dating back to 1920 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
